Knitting supplies along the canal. Up dated 3rd July 2015.

As we can not be in every town and village along the canals all the time on this page you will find details of any independent knitting wool supply shops that we find on our travels.

This is a service to other water borne travellers and anybody else that finds it useful.

Heather, Claire and Carole, Yarnbirds Whaley Bridge. 19.6.15

We where last here in Whaley Bridge with The Wool Boat 5 years ago when there wasn't as far as we know, a yarn shop.

Yarnbirds Whaley Bridge

But now there is, Yarnbirds, owned by Claire. The shop is just up the street from the canal basin, just at the back of Pear tree printers just below the Pear Tree cafe. You need to look out for the sign's on the building to find it, but when we went in Claire was very welcoming, as she sorted out a problem Heather, one of her customers had.

Yarn Birds, Peartree Cottage, 10 Canal Street, Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire, SK23 7LS
